Community Support

Supporting local responders through community-backed aerial support

ROAR was founded by a firefighter and former Navy aircrewman with firsthand experience in emergency response and incident operations. While ROAR’s primary focus is serving landowners, contractors, and businesses, we also believe in supporting the communities we live and work in.

Through our Community Support efforts, ROAR provides limited no-cost or reduced-cost aerial support to qualifying fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies when operational capacity allows.

Why Community Support Matters

Having spent years in emergency response, I’ve seen firsthand how valuable aerial awareness can be during incidents, training, and post-incident documentation. I’ve also seen how often that capability simply wasn’t available—or was stretched too thin to be effective.

In many cases, departments relied on limited resources, outside agencies, or went without aerial support entirely. ROAR’s Community Support initiative exists to help close that gap when possible, providing local agencies access to aerial tools that can enhance situational awareness, documentation, and training—without adding financial strain.

Community Support is not about replacing agency programs or responding to every call. It’s about responsibly giving back to the same community that shaped ROAR, when capacity allows.

How Community Support Works

Community contributions help offset the operational costs associated with providing aerial support to public safety agencies, including:

  • Equipment operation and maintenance

  • Travel and deployment expenses

  • Data processing and secure delivery

  • Training and familiarization flights

This allows ROAR to assist departments that may not have the budget or resources to access aerial capabilities.

Types of Support Provided

When available, Community Support may include:

  • Aerial overview imagery for incidents or training

  • Post-incident documentation

  • Area and scene familiarization

  • Limited training support

Support is provided at ROAR’s discretion, based on availability, safety considerations, and active commercial or storm deployments.

Support Community Flights

Purchasing services from ROAR helps support local first responders and community organizations when operational capacity allows. As part of our business model, ROAR periodically provides reduced-rate or no-cost aerial support to qualifying non-profits and fire response agencies, based on mission priority and availability.

This support is offered at ROAR’s discretion and does not impact contracted services or response obligations.
